Storage is a problem we often face no matter if it comes to toys, crafts, or food. The cheapest but sometimes the hardest solution is do not have too many items or leftovers. I have one kid who does not want to get rid of a single item no matter how small or unused while the other has a few prize items but does not seem to care as much for the rest. So that leaves figuring out how to store all those items. For that we got some storage cube units and bins, which does allow for more storage however the mess basically just moved into the bins. Now this does get the floors cleaner for a short term and every time clean up day comes around. Though when it came time to find a toy a scattering of other toys were generally left around the bin. Looking at other options came across some plastic storage containers we were not using much for food. The clear ones were nice for quicker identification, especially younger kids unable or not great at reading. For food storage LocknLock has worked well to store pantry items, leftovers, staged food, and more with ease. The seal is strong and due to the tab design my kids can manage them as well without any help, very useful. Figured we could adapt to the use for toys and crafts. Granted the food set we have does not have uniform sizes or enough larger ones for that purpose they do stack and store nicely. Found some other LocknLock sets with larger bins and even some with multiple colored lids. This has helped sorting tremendously while keeping play areas neater, with the side benefit of creating walls with the containers. You can employ a similar technique with crafts. We have a bin of beads and buttons for example that are for decorating or play. Another option for small containers if you get them are the plastic ones some food comes in like sandwich meat, cottage cheese, sour cream, potato salad, etc.Thank you for taking the time to read and hope your dad game levels up.
